Jeffrey Gray Czyzewski

Jeffrey, a native of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, grew up immersed in the world of residential design. With parents active in the development and construction industry, he spent his early years exploring job sites and sketching floor plans—curious about how people moved through and experienced a home. This fascination with the lived experience of architecture naturally led him to Auburn University, where he pursued a degree in architecture.

At Auburn, Jeffrey embraced a wide range of architectural explorations, experimenting with style, materiality, and construction methods. His studies culminated in a thesis titled Spatial Weaving, inspired by the textiles of renowned weaver Anni Albers. Through this research, Jeffrey examined the parallels between weaving and architecture—considering how grids and forms, framed views, and spatial relationships could be reinterpreted through the lens of fabric. His final project, Weaving Fernandina, proposed a collection of courtyard houses in downtown Fernandina Beach, Florida, using textiles as a conceptual framework to shape site organization, floor plan relationships, and the integration of indoor and outdoor living.

Following his studies, Jeffrey began his career in custom residential architecture in Birmingham, Alabama, before joining Peter Block Architects in Atlanta. There, he has expanded his approach to designing houses that balance timeless tradition with modern sensibilities. Influenced by architects such as Palladio, Sir Edwin Lutyens, and A. Hays Town, Jeffrey continues to refine a practice rooted in context, craft, and the enduring relationship between architecture and the way people live.

"I believe a home is built on layers, light that shifts through the day, textures that invite touch, and materials that age with grace. Every design begins by listening to our clients — A home should feel deeply personal. I've always believed that a space begins with the furniture within it — the pieces that ground daily life and shape how you gather, rest, and connect. For me, architecture and interiors are inseparable; one informs the other, creating a dialogue between the two. The most successful homes are not loud declarations, but calm reflections — sanctuaries that embody comfort, authenticity, and a sense of belonging." - JC
